Daniel Maghen Auction House announces its 12th “Comics & Illustration” auction, to be held in late 2026 at the Maison de l’Amérique latine in Paris.

Founded in 2005, the publishing house offers several series: illustrated biographies of comic artists (Cosey, Juillard, Peyo, Tillieux, Tibet, Vicomte, and Will), comic books (On Mars, Le Rapport W, Ter, Tomahawk, Les Voyages d’Ulysse…), illustration books (art books dedicated to Gibrat and Rochette, fairy books…), and more recently a children’s collection featuring the adventures of La Famille Passiflore by Jouannigot, and Balbuzar by Pillot.

The Daniel Maghen Gallery is, above all, a story of passion—that of its founder, Daniel Maghen, for comic art. In 1990, he launched the market for original comic art pages, and in 2003, he opened his gallery in Paris. In 2018, he inaugurated a new gallery in the heart of the capital, on Rue du Louvre. Today, the gallery boasts the largest permanent collection in Europe, with nearly 20,000 comics and illustration artworks by over 300 different artists.

After 30 years of exhibiting the masters of the ninth art—Bilal, Franquin, Gibrat, Juillard, Uderzo—and new authors—Lepage, Lacombe, Kim Jung Gi… and organizing seven landmark auctions with Tajan and Christie’s, Daniel Maghen launched his own auction house in 2019, Daniel Maghen Enchères et Expertises, dedicated to comic and graphic arts.
