As we know, Chaland loved to pastiche the great elders of the Belgian school. This reprint, a facsimile of an album from Averbode Abbey, the publisher of Petits Belges, had been made by Yann Rudler, a short-lived publisher of "incunabula" by Jijé, Jean Roba or Maurice Tillieux, then republished by Magic Strip. Chaland designed the cover (Jijé had just passed away) and then, for Magic Strip, those of numerous classics by Jijé, Vandersteen or Funcken, always with the agreement of the copyright owners. The framework was laid by his wife, Isabelle Beaumenay-Joannet.
