This is the first appearance of this magnificent 1934 Duesenberg, with Pacôme de Champignac at the wheel, displaying the morals of a chauffeur. It's the invention of a fuel that he's just perfected that gets him excited and a bit crazy. André Franquin and I went to a model store in Brussels, where he bought a miniature of the car to build. We started building it that evening, because he loved doing it, and so did I. The next day, the bulk of the car was built. André gave me the model and I went home, where I finished the construction before working on the preparatory sketches for his drawing.
