He has no equal when it comes to sculpting his perfect-bodied goddess in the simplest of garb, as she makes her way through a jungle of scrap metal populated by horny males. We admire the curves, the treatment of the body in this bluish glaze, the weight of the materials. We shiver in this half-slimy, half-rusty world, and lose ourselves between dream, reality and strange fever. And the story? Often a scenic labyrinth where even Druuna seems lost, the object of a desire more drawn than defined. Serpieri's work, like that of Manara or Liberatore, marked an era, the 1980s-2000s, when Italian comics produced some of the best erotic comics in the world.
