Magnificent cover for this album that concludes the Hong Kong cycle of a series that revolutionized adventure storytelling in the 1980s, notably for its violent deconstruction of genre stereotypes and its delightful cynicism. We can only admire Didier Conrad's virtuosity. Perfectly composed, this cover features the dreadful Colonel Lytchee brandishing two katanas, ready to perpetrate yet another massacre. Even the slender, scowling rats are afraid of him! We're captivated by the lightning-fast strokes organized around a long perspective, around which a phantasmagorical whirlwind dances like a flame.
