Signed. India ink on paper 42.9 × 55.9 cm (16.89 × 22.01 in.) Caza's kinship with the Moebius, Druillet and Bilal of the 1980s is obvious. In fact, he succeeded the first two in illustrating the great SF classics in the legendary Opta publishing collection. And while this short story is only the ixth variation on The Pied Piper of Hamelin, a classic tale of German literature adapted by the Grimm brothers, this plate nevertheless stands out for the clarity of its composition and the beauty of its Art Nouveau-inspired lettering.
