Graphite, white gouache and India ink highlights and India ink on paper 31.8 × 43.8 cm (12.52 × 17.24 in.) Dominique Legeard, better known under his pseudonym Lidwine, passed away recently. A rather rare author, due to his absolute perfectionism, he had been called in by Dargaud to produce Avant la Quête de l'Oiseau du temps, more than ten years after the end of the first cycle of the famous series. It took him four years to produce a magnificent, highly detailed album... but this delay in delivery prompted the publisher to turn to Mohamed Aouamri. It's clear from this simple drawing that he's capable of meticulous work in graphite with a few highlights of white gouache.
