Illustration conceived by Ralph Meyer while working on the album. Jonas, whose gaze plunges into that of the reader, poses in front of a sequoia tree, a symbol of power, magnified by the touches of light shining through its branches. The verticals and horizontals are offset by the diagonals of the branches, which seem to offer him a symbolic roof. At the end of Volume 7, the desire to continue exploring autumnal atmospheres gave rise to this illustration, in which I played on the contrast between a cold light in the background, and a very warm one inside the forest, as if the latter offered a haven of warmth in the heart of autumn.
