Jonas has just realized that Rose is married. Furious, he rushes towards a ravine, until Jed the vulture saves him from a fatal fall. Ralph Meyer brilliantly applies his graphic grammar, multiplying the small squares until the big final one, when everything comes to a halt. Narrative tip: boxes 1 and 4, 2 and 5, and 3 and 6 answer each other.
This scene gave me a lot of pleasure. The idea was to draw a succession of close-ups to make the narrative more nervous, before ending with a spectacular wide shot. R.M.
