Ralph Meyer once again confronts a cliché of the genre: the duel. To make it his own, he composes his image in three dimensions. A foreground with hyper-realistic pleated pants. Jonas, cape in the wind, shooting through a cloud of white dust. The sky, animated by a circular movement, is cross-hatched. The low angle accentuates the dynamic. Different graphic treatments can be used in the same image, as long as they are well hierarchized. The duel, another Western cliché that I hadn't yet had the chance to realize. R.M.
