India ink and graphite on paper 37.9 × 49.9 cm (14.92 × 19.65 in.) This final Blake & Mortimer plate drawn by André Juillard ends, oh surprise, with Olrik's victory. Mortimer agrees: "Let's face it, this time, the Colonel has won the game...". Blake, somewhat reluctantly, adds: "But only this time! Signé Olrik appeared in bookshops on October 31, 2024, three months to the day after André's death. His publisher, Yves Schlirf, points out that the artist made it a point of honor to finish the album on time: "He was never late, and worked regularly despite his illness. The theme of the album was André's idea. André and I wanted to put Olrik at the center of the game, to give him back some credibility. He would have become ridiculous if he'd taken so many bowls at the end of the album. And that's not the point... Here, Olrik finishes the adventure better than he started it. He'll be able to rebuild his financial health. I like it when villains develop the means for their actions, but I also like to know how they finance themselves. As for Olrik, I don't have to worry about him for a few more albums... I know André gave his all right up to the end, and Signé Olrik will remain his "testament work". Yves Sente
