An exterior sequence shot, cut into four vignettes, sweeps across the facade of a Parisian townhouse. Rather than immediately discovering the appearance of the occupants, we follow their discussion bubble by bubble. The first reproaches the other for doing as he pleases... The second retorts that they once made a deal. The camera glides from window to window. Simple yet original, the narrative technique is a testament to Cothias' and Juillard's expertise.
