Collection S.K. JANRY SPIROU AND FANTASIO Original illustration for Le Journal de Spirou Spécial Pâques n° 2502 March 25, 1986. This interior illustration corresponds to the cover of the same issue of Le Journal de Spirou. Indian ink, blue pencil and white gouache on paper 24.8 × 34 cm (9.76 × 13.39 in.) The whole Spirou "family" is here, reunited: Spirou, Fantasio, Spip, the Count of Champignac, the town mayor, and his traditional pochtron, the town pharmacist, Dupilon. But here, this remarkable line drawing by Janry is about to receive a special treatment: the decor is not going to be handled by Tome's accomplice, as the handwritten note above the drawing explains. Instead, it will be done by Michel Matagne in direct color, using the cartoon process. Matagne's drawing is scanned and Janry's line drawing, colored by Leonardo, is then inserted into the set. A rare piece of work.
