Franquin adored Reiser (1941-1983), a major figure in Pilote, Hara-Kiri and Charlie Hebdo: his spontaneous, throwaway, even spurting drawing - the very opposite of the "control of non-control" of Franquinian drawing - literally made him fantasize. If Reiser leaves a mark today, it's because of his political and societal themes, notably the covers of Charlie Hebdo, which marked the era. He was known for his hard-hitting, trashy humor.
