It's with this kind of epic, sublime splashpage that Oliver Ledroit has built his reputation. Firstly, because scriptwriter François Froideval's Les Chroniques de la Lune noire is historically France's first major medieval-fantasy comic strip. These heroic-fantasy adventures are based on a universe that was largely developed in the role-playing games inherited from Tolkien's universe, published in the 1980s. As can be seen on this page, Olivier Ledroit brings a pictorial dimension to the story, both in his composition and in his colors, giving this battle against the dragon an undeniable force.
