A memorable album. The series was new, and this album in particular was a great success, thanks to a theme that was new to comics but popular in Venice: the card game. Certainly also thanks to our beloved hero, Giacomo C. It's a crucial moment between Giacomo and his opponent, the magic of cards. I remember being inspired by a superb scene in Stanley Kubrick's Barry Lyndon, where the candlelight card scene was phenomenal. In any case, The Lady with the Sooty Heart is still one of my favorite creations. Griffo
