TIBET - Lot 122
TIBET RIC HOCHET Requiem pour une idole (T.16), Le Lombard 1973 Original plate no. 31, prepublished in Le Journal de Tintin no. 1237, July 13, 1972. Signed. India ink on paper 35.5 × 46 cm (13.98 × 18.11 in.) A highly dynamic sequence featuring Ric Hochet in his famous Porsche 611 (this time, the coupé model), who not only manages to knock down and disarm a biker (thanks to his famous savate move!), but also to force his way into the building's garage. Tibet synthesizes this action in a series of rapid field-and-counter-field sequences. The remarkable plunge in the second frame allows him to make the scene legible, one of the album's most spectacular scenes.
