Colored inks and India ink on paper 44.8 × 27 cm (17.64 × 10.63 in.) An attractive composition featuring André Juillard's Blake and Mortimer characters in a modern setting. He mainly highlights the works of Dutch painter Piet Mondrian, a pioneer of abstraction who in the 1920s set out to go beyond cubism, returning to the fundamental pure colors (blue, red, yellow...), an aesthetic that strongly influenced design and fashion in the post-war years. The references in this design are not limited to the Dutch painter. They include Dubuffet, ancient Egyptian art and the primitive arts.
