A very fine composition by Philippe Caza for Métal Hurlant, a magazine whose eclectic line he perfectly embraces, first focusing on the worlds of science fiction and fantasy, then branching out into the most diverse and erudite drawing styles. Let's not dwell on this haughty callipyge odalisque, but observe two things: the use of color, a velvety contrast of complementary pinks and greens, the black line being left to the heroine's contours alone; and the magnificent work on the Indian-inspired décor, which resembles the bourgeois Asian settings of the late 19th century. Caza is a fascinating artist who deserves to be discovered.
