David B is one of the leading figures in French comics of the 1990s. Co-founder of L'Association, he has developed an abundant body of work in black and white influenced by Tardi, but also by older authors such as Gus Bofa, with original stories ranging from autobiography to adventure to fairy tale. With Donjon Monsters, a series launched by Sfar and Trondheim, we tackle a humorous fantasy in the spirit of role-playing. David B remains true to his often dreamlike style in this plate, typical of his art and featuring the medieval danse macabre motif.
