Coloring: 27.7 × 36.8 cm (10.9 × 14.4 in.) For once, contrary to my usual practice, I haven't off-centered my character. I've drawn him full-length and frontally, to express a kind of strength and monumentality, as if Yann were at one with the rock. The black of the boots reinforces this effect, and the floating coat gives movement to an attitude that could have been too static. As for the red sky, I wonder if it wasn't my editor at the time, Claude Gendrot, who gave me the idea. A sort of strangeness, as if the skies were really on fire.
