An intimate evening An intimate scene requires careful planning. In fact, in this case, it is so expressive that it can almost be understood without dialogue. Lucia is asking Jazz something, and Jazz is in doubt. Close-ups predominate to reveal the reactions of the characters, expressions that are very well done by Roger, who does not forget, however, to take care of the details of the environment, the terrace of Lucia's house, especially in the last frame, where the light of the candles is perfectly delineated by the crosshatching that converges towards it. The sleeping cat brings a detail of tranquility to the scene.
"Ten years later, there are still sparks between Jazz and Lucia. Can there be a future for the pairing of a character reporter and a trumpeter, who is also one of the world's best thieves? We've seen stranger things. " Raule
