Barcelona by night Six panels on this page are actually in the service of a mise en scène leading to the fifth panel, the one that provides the background for the whole board. The eye is quickly directed to this panel, in which we observe the scene of the view from the terrace of Lucia's apartment. It's an impressive urban night landscape in which we can see part of the Gothic quarter of Barcelona. The buildings of the Santa Creu i Santa Eulàlia cathedral, built between the 13th and 19th centuries, stand out for the height of their towers. Roger's masterful inking is more synthetic in the second panel, an old photograph, giving us in the rest of the panels a spectacular work of spots and hatchings bringing a perfect atmosphere to the page.
"In the past, Lucia and Jazz were the perfect couple. Jazz left El Raval before life's hard knocks got the better of him; Lucia, on the other hand, decided to stay and fight to improve her neighbourhood. Ten years later, nothing has changed. Neither has what they feel for each other. "Raule
