OLIVIER LEDROIT ◊ XOCO Notre Seigneur l'écorché (T.2), Vents D'ouest 1995 Original double plate no. 48 and no. 49. Signed. Colored inks on paper 100 × 65 cm (39.37 × 25.59 in.) Thomas Mosdi conceives an eminently Lovecraftian scenario so that Olivier Ledroit, whose graphic technique is dazzling, can express himself with a mastery that extends, twenty years on, the experiments of Philippe Druillet. This plate illustrates this perfectly, with a series of rapid, close-up inserts in the icy blue of night, which stand out naturally against a backdrop of warm colors - and with good reason, since we're in intergalactic incandescence - lending legibility and contrast to this action scene that amazed readers at the time.
