FOURNIER - Lot 7
FOURNIER JEAN-CLAUDE FOURNIER SPIROU AND FANTASIO Tora Torapa (T.23), Dupuis Original cover project for the collection n° 128 of the Journal de Spirou of March 1973. Signed. India ink, watercolor, gouache, colored pencil and graphite on paper 15.7 × 21.6 cm (6.18 × 8.5 in.) Following in the footsteps of his august predecessors, with Jijé and Franquin in his sights, Jean-Claude Fournier imagines a new visual for the 128th hardcover album of the journal Spirou. A strange statue (an ancient deity from the southern hemisphere, perhaps?), the tropical humidity. Danger lurks. Spirou signals us: "Shh! Not a sound!" The collection will be published by Dupuis in March 1973.
