First auction showcasing Will, one of the masters of the Franco-Belgian comic strip, on November 29

For the "Comic Art & Illustration" auction held on November 29, 2025, a special catalog is dedicated to Belgian illustrator and scriptwriter Willy Maltaite, known as Will (1927-2000), a master of the Franco-Belgian comic strip.

The artist was part of the famous "gang of four" alongside Jijé, Morris and Franquin, whose complicity and talent revolutionized post-war Franco-Belgian comics.

This exceptional catalog, produced in partnership with the artist's family, features 30 lots among his most iconic works: covers, cover projects, pages and original illustrations from famous series, such as Tif et Tondu and Isabelle.

Among the highlights are four covers of Tif et Tondu, including that of volume 20 Les Ressuscités (the Resurrected) (1973) estimated at €12,000-15,000, the whole model of Petit Noël entirely drawn by Will for Franquin in the 1960s, estimated at €8,000-10,000, and the whole story in two pages of Grand zéro sur toute la ligne, published in Le Journal de Spirou in 1979, featuring Franquin and Will with illustrations of Marsupilami by Franquin, and estimated at €12,000-15,000.
