TIBET RIC HOCHET Ric Hochet contre le Bourreau (T.14), Le Lombard 1972 Original cover. Signed. India ink on paper 24,5 x 32 cm (9,65 x 12,6 in.) Emblematic cover of the Ric Hochet series, it concentrates all of Tibet's art, with perfect legibility and great emotional power: in the headlights of his Porsche 911, our journalist is on the ground, at the mercy of a man with a terrifying pseudonym: The Executioner. He is reminiscent of "Kingpin", one of Spider-Man's most fearsome "Super-Villains". But here, the model is Thierry Martens (1942-2011), editor-in-chief of Spirou between 1969 and 1978, author of the first thesis on comics published in Europe (Louvain, 1968).
